What makes RLQuest different

There are plenty of apps that count what you were doing anyway. RLQuest gives you something to do — and checks that you did it.

New quests every day

Over 1,600 tasks in the library, from five minutes to half an hour. What you get depends on your age, your interests, the weather, the season, and how much time you said you have.

Verified, not claimed

A recorded route, new ground on the map, steps, a photo. Where the app cannot check something, it says so — instead of pretending.

A map that is yours

Every route uncovers hexagons. After a year you can see where you have been — and more to the point, where there is still nothing. You can take it offline too.

Places that really exist

Over 75,000 castles, lighthouses, viewpoints and city gates across Germany. Reach one for the first time and you get something for it.

Achievements in series

Two hundred and thirteen achievements in sixty-nine series — from your first quest to fifty hours outdoors. The achievement book always shows what comes next.

No location on any server

The app does not store where you are. It stores which hexagons you have uncovered — and those are about 350 metres wide.

What a day looks like

The quests are there in the morning

Three to ten, depending on your plan and how much time you said you have. If one does not suit you, swap it.

You go out

A walking quest keeps running in the background, phone in your pocket. It tells you when you get there. And if you like, your map keeps filling without a quest too — one switch in settings, off until you turn it on.

The app checks

The recorded track for a distance quest, the picture for a photo quest, the clock for an evening quest. Submit an evening quest at noon and you get an honest no.

The map grows

New hexagons, XP, sometimes a find — and every few days an achievement that stays in the book for good.

Not every quest is worth the same

From everyday to legendary. The rare ones announce their reward up front — they are the reason to take on the harder task.

What we do not do

RLQuest is an app that knows where people go. That is exactly why this page spells out what it does not do with that.

  • We store no location. Not your last one, not your current one. What it stores is which hexagons you have uncovered.
  • Photos are deleted. Thirty days after submission, automatically. That is why a data export does not contain them — that would be a second place for them to sit.
  • No ads, no data selling. The app is funded by a premium plan and nothing else.
  • No loot boxes, no currency. Nothing can be bought that could be earned. Finds give you more of the game, not a shorter path through it.
  • Take everything or delete everything. Both straight from the app, without having to write to anyone.
